MMI Reaches out with Helping Hands

Our Entire Organization Thanks You for Your Continuous Support

Boca Raton, FL. Throughout 2014, MMI employees donated their time to help feed more than 1500 families in South Florida. Organized into groups, MMI employees supported the community monthly by working with Boca Helping Hands to help distribute pantry bags, serve meals to the needy, and even conducting computer education on occasion.

Boca Helping Hands (BHH) is a community-based organization formed to provide food and emergency assistance to meet 10440966_10152156214551821_8039269660176927719_nbasic human needs. The organization provides meals to the needy regularly, and also delivers meals to homebound disabled and elderly individuals. Additionally, in response to demand, the BHH Job Mentoring Center provides coaching, guidance, and classes designed to help individuals who seek employment opportunities. “MMI’s contribution honors our mission to provide food and emergency assistance and long-term solutions to break the cycle of dependence. Without MMI’s support we could not help the 1500 families that benefit from their generosity,” commented Suzan Javizian, BHH Operations Manager.

During the holidays, MMI’s teams contributed to the “Thanksgiving Basket Brigade” in helping BHH to supply more than 1500 families with a turkey and basket full of grocery items for them to prepare a holiday dinner for their families.

“An important part of MMI’s mission includes giving back to our community. To this end, employees are excused from MMI responsibilities during their volunteer day at the Boca Helping Hands facility. Additionally, our financial contributions have been matched by an anonymous donor providing a double impact on any money raised by MMI for BHH. It is an honor to partner with BHH and help support all their good work in our community” commented MMI’s CEO Tina Lux-Boim.
