Managed Maintenance, Inc. Garners Support of Employees and Community during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Boca Raton, FL Oct 8, 2010: Managed Maintenance, Inc, a S. Florida based technology consulting firm has, since its inception, been proud of the commitment that it has made to charitable organizations both locally and abroad. “We pick charities that are meaningful to our employees, so that everyone will feel more apt to get involved and participate” mentions MMI President, Tina Lux-Boim. For example, after the recent tragedy in Haiti, MMI employees rallied around their lead developer Pierre, also from Haiti with family there. The MMI team came together to make a considerable donation, considering its size of 30+ employees. MMI employees raised $335, which was then matched by employee Pierre to equal $670, which was then again matched by MMI to bring the total to $1340. The final MMI tally was matched by Advent Lutheran church bringing the total of $2680 donated to the Village of Hope charity.

MMI has been receiving the same kind of support from its employees and other local companies during its corporate kickoff of our very own “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”. A whole schedule of events aimed at raising money and awareness has been created including a Happy Hour, Bake Sales, Paid Dress Down Days, Bagel Breakfasts and Pizza lunches to name a few! “Several of our employees have been very personally affected by Breast Cancer, and it means a lot to us to be able to support them” said Tina Lux-Boim. All money raised by employees will be matched by MMI and will go towards an MMI donation to Breast Cancer Awareness.

MMI is urging other companies and their employees in the area to join them for Happy Hour on Friday, Oct 15th at 5:00pm at the Pavilion Grille located at 301 Yamato Road on the Northeast corner of Dixie and Yamato in Boca Raton. For this event, 10% of all beverages and 20% of all food bought will be donated by the Pavilion Grille to support the cause.
